We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Other times I will have an idea first and then seek out the images to use for reference material. Grotesque and graphic images usually spur an idea and then I work from there...A lot of the time the source material isn't even an image, but something I've read in the paper or books...
You might want to check out AdBusters, if you're not aware of their organization already.
